Education Course - Module 1
Ecology - from the town of Oikos, "house", and -ology, "study of" is differentiated by other natural sciences at the end of the 19th century. (the term was introduced by E. Heckel).
The main subject of research is ecosystems, interconnected networks of plants, animals and other organisms in a given geographical area, which depend on each other.
- the life processes explaining the adaptations
- distribution and number of organisms;
- the movement of matter and energy in living communities;
- biodiversity.
Study systems of supra-organizational level - individual, population, community, ecosystem.
This course offers the opportunity to get acquainted with each of the elements of ecosystems and biomes, thus obtaining the necessary information to test the accumulated knowledge in order to switch to Course 2.
